Regulations for guests at the Residence Borgo San Carlo

1 Arrivals

Guests’ arrivals will be assisted by our staff between 16.00 (4pm) and 20.00 (8pm) on the estimated day of arrival (Saturday for weekly periods), outside of these hours guests are obliged to inform the management who will organise the arrival.

On arrival every guest must go the administration office in the residence, leave a copy or original of a valid identity document, inform them of all the necessary information for their stay (number of guests in the apartment, departure date, etc.), leave a deposit for the sum of 150 €, read and accept the regulations for guests staying at the Residence Borgo San Carlo. As soon as all the administrative procedures have been completed, guests will be accompanied to their apartments by the staff of the residence who, after having checked that everything present on the inventory of the apartment is complete, in good and clean order and functioning, will then hand over the keys.

Inside the residence no motor vehicles are allowed except those used for the normal maintenance; guests will be able to use their motor vehicles inside the residence only on departure and arrival to load and unload their luggage. The speed of all motor vehicles inside the residence must not in any case exceed 10 Km/h. Outside the residence a large car park is available.

Any exceptions must be explicitly authorised by the management.

2 The stay at the residence and use of common spaces

All areas accessible to guests at the residence not in an exclusive way are intended as common spaces: green areas, not adjacent to the apartments and not marked by boundaries; the swimming pools and solarium; the gazebo, the terraces, the picnic areas, the footpaths, the children’s playground, the laundrette and the car park. In the common spaces every guest is requested to behave in a respectable manner, without offence to others; in particular it is strictly forbidden to use footballs or potentially dangerous sports equipment, play musical instruments or CD and cassette players at high volume, improperly use any of the equipment of the residence, hang out washing (use the provided clothes-horse). During the night between 22.00 (10pm) and ore 8.00 (8am) and the day between 15.00 (3pm) to 17.00 (5pm), all guests, both inside and outside the residence’s apartments, are obliged to respect the tranquillity of others and avoid making irritating noise as much as possible. It is strictly forbidden to throw litter or cigarette ends outside the litter bins placed inside residence. In the picnic area fires are allowed only on the grills provided and exclusively with charcoal (it is not allowed to gather wood inside the residence). The use of the playground is reserved for children and they must be accompanied by at least one adult. Cycling is permitted inside the residence only on the pathways. The car park of the residence is not guarded, therefore the management will not be held responsible for any eventual damage. Except for special agreements animals are not permitted inside the residence; in the case that an animal is permitted, it must always be kept on a leash and with a muzzle; also it is the owners duty to clean all the animal’s excrement.

3 The use of the swimming pool

The use of the swimming pool is allowed between 8.30 (8.30am) and 19.30 (7.30pm). To enter the pool it is necessary to shower first and use a bathing cap and plastic flip-flops. To use the pool you must be at least 14 years old and know how to swim or alternatively be accompanied by an adult who is able to swim. All children and youths under 14 must be assisted by their parents or an adult who is able to swim. For safety reasons it is not allowed to play ball inside the swimming pool or on the adjacent solarium, to dive (maximum depth 1,70 m), throw litter in the pool or solarium, push others in the swimming pool, bring animals. The swimming pool of the residence does not have a lifeguard in accordance with the current regulations.

4 Your stay in the apartments

All apartments are equipped and furnished, the list of the inventory is hung up inside every apartment and in the administration office. In the case of missing equipment or malfunction guests are obliged to inform the management so as it can be fixed it in the shortest possible time.

All guests are requested to use the equipment and furniture only for the use they have been designed for, in particular it is not allowed to bring any object or equipment out of the apartment. During night hours all guests, both inside and outside the apartments are obliged to respect the tranquillity of others and avoid making irritating noise as much as possible.

Bath, bed and kitchen linen is changed on a weekly basis, in case of necessity extra changes can be made on payment. In the case of damage to objects, equipment or furniture, caused by improper use and not normal wear and tear, the cost or repair will be detracted from the deposit. In the case that the deposit sum is not sufficient then a supplement will be asked.

5 Departure

Departure is expected by 10.00 (10am) on the day agreed (Saturday for weekly periods), past that time, if not otherwise agreed, the following period will also be charged.

The balance of your stay must be paid by 10.00 (10am) or the day before leaving in the case of departure before 8.00 (8am). At the end of your stay the cleaning expenses compulsory for every apartment according to the size will be detracted from the deposit for a sum ranging between 35 € to 60 € (for details consult the residence administration, these expenses also include the use of the laundrette). At the end of your stay all dishes and the kitchen must be cleaned by the client, if otherwise another 40 € will be detracted from the deposit as a penalty. Before departure the management staff will check the state of the apartment, the inventory and the cleanliness of the kitchen.
